Candidate Duration and Guarantee
The employer agrees to pay the consulting fee if any candidate presented by Watkins & Associates is hired for any position by the client company, its parent company or any of its divisions/subsidiaries within 12 months of presentations.
Should the candidate be terminated for just cause or leave the position voluntarily at no fault of the employer within the first 90 days of employment, Watkins & Associates will, upon written notification from the Employer, accept a comparable assignment to replace the employee at no additional charge. This guarantee is subject to payment being received within 30 days of invoice date.
Background and Reference Investigation
Watkins & Associates recruiters carefully check each candidate’s background and, in all cases, attempt to obtain multiple references from superiors, peers, subordinates, and outside associates. Employment and education designations will be verified.
The consulting fee, charged to the Employer/Client is based on the candidate’s estimated total compensation for the first 12 months of employment. If the position has not been filled within ninety (90) days from the execution of the search agreement, the Client will have the option of renewing or canceling the contract. If renewed, no additional engagement fee is required.
Watkins & Associates conducts national or international searches based on the Client’s requirements. We seek candidates who have a proven track record in their particular fields. A search is directed toward employed, successful individuals with skills, experience, and values that are compatible with the Client’s organization; individuals who can bring problem-solving capabilities and ideas either directly from a comparable organization or from another industry in which their talent will benefit the Client. Only serious candidates will be recommended for interview with the Customer.
The final selection of the candidate is made ultimately by the Client. We do; however; assist in determining the appropriate compensation and benefit package, and in negotiating the final offer of employment.
A thorough understanding of the position responsibilities, (reporting relationships, staff size/type, scope of responsibility, level of authority, short– and long–range goals, etc.) is obtained along with the requirements necessary for satisfactory performance of the position (experience, special skills, education, personality profile, management style, etc.) A detailed write-up of our understanding of the position requirements, compensation, and responsibilities is then submitted for Client approval. Many Clients make use of our expertise during this process to help formulate the requirements of the position and to structure the compensation package necessary to attract the caliber of individual required.
Client Company Analysis
To conduct a professional search, it is imperative that we not only understand the job description and requirements, but that we also understand the needs and objectives of the client organization as a whole. Prior to initiating a search, we communicate with management about the organization, its culture (or changing culture), the interrelationships within the company that will affect the position, as well as problems and opportunities that the candidate, once hired, must address. Then we discuss the position in light of the objectives and needs to determine the qualifications of individuals that are best qualified to fulfill them.
